Beginning violin students use the Suzuki books, as well as several supplementary materials.
The Fine Arts Connection recommends extreme caution when purchasing an instrument. Make sure you have the instrument checked by a professional before investing money in something that may not be usable. Knapp Music is a wonderful provider (also recommended for renting instruments), as well as many other Indianapolis businesses.
Intermediate students are welcomed as well. The teacher will tailor the curriculum to each student based on their own unique needs.

Beginning piano students use the Alfred Series, as well as several supplementary materials.
The Fine Arts Connection recommends extreme caution when purchasing an instrument. Make sure you have the instrument checked by a professional before investing money in something that may not be usable. A piano preferably should come with an adjustable bench and at least the two typical pedals. It is also recommended to get any free piano checked out before accepting it as well--a piano in bad condition can affect the way a student learns important technique skills.
Occasionally the Fine Arts Connection is contacted with offers of free pianos. Be sure to ask if you are seeking a piano.
